Earlier in the MA we looked at creators appropriating each others work. This week I discovered that my work had been appropriated by an illustrator.
During the Extinction Rebellion actions in September, I took this picture in London.
This week, my attention was drawn to this picture on Instagram.
The artist, AMS Halls, had reinterpreted a number of pictures taken at XR events and placed them on their Instagram account.
As we learned, this is how art often works. One person’s work inspires another person to create something new. This was an interesting experience. There was a pleasure in finding that someone else valued my work enough to want to build upon it.
